Theater: PSYCHO THERAPY

FINAL WEEK – MUST CLOSE February 25th!

“…the actors imbue their roles with wit and spirit… Ms. Page is a stylish Lily; Mr. Carlson is quite comfortable as a lizard king who is all about the heat. When the two go at each other, fighting or making up, they are a comic roadside attraction.” New York Times

“Lily’s fiancée Phillip blows off couples therapy and Dorian, her hot young ex-boyfriend, jumps in to fill the void. When the trio ends up on the couch together, only therapist Nancy Winston can untangle the kinks. Frank Strausser’s insanely entertaining new comedy opens the door to a new option – couples therapy for three.”

This light, sexy, refreshing comedy stars Angelica Page and produced by Barbara Ligeti and Christine DeLisle. Also starring Jeffrey Carlson (The Goat, Taboo, All My Children), Larry Lau (One Life to Live, August: Osage County) and Jan Leslie Harding (Henry Fool, The Green Bird).

Previews for PSYCHO THERAPY begin January 17th at the beautiful, historic CHERRY LANE THEATRE.

STAGED READING / I’M NO GOOD AND I CAN PROVE IT

I Am No Good And I Can Prove It

JIMMY BRESLIN‘S column could be coming to the small stage. Actor MICHAEL RISPOLI, who’s memorable in “The Rum Diary“, will play the Daily News columnist in “I’m No Good and I Can Prove It”, a play the vetran actor co-wrote with former Elaine’s bartender Brian McDonald. The pair hope to attract finacial backers following Wednesday’s performance. Rispoli has handpicked ANGELICA PAGE to play Breslin’s wife Ronnie Eldridge.

Rispoli tells us he approached Breslin years ago with the idea for a play based on the Pulitzer Prize winner’s career, only to have the columnist retort “Who the f— would want to do that?” Breslin eventually warmed to the idea over “a lot of coffee,” Rispoli says, but had one stipulation: “It better be good.” Breslin says he’ll be at the performance, but is a little apprehensive about his portrayal. He tells us: “I want to know whether to stay or run.”

GERALDINE PAGE: The Documentary

Upon winning her Academy Award® in 1985, legendary star Geraldine Page was named “the greatest actress of the English language.” Since her death almost 25 years ago, not one book or documentary examining her prolific professional career—nor her mysterious and tumultuous private life—exists.

Her only daughter, award-winning actress & filmmaker Angelica Page will now take on that honor and task herself. Through her own vivid memories, private home movies, unseen last interviews and rare footage, she will explore and expose the deepest core of this never before shared story—a celebration of a graceful, gracious and irreverent artist—culminating with placing a star on Hollywood Boulevard in her mother’s name next to her own.

Now available at Amazon! coming soon to Netflix!!

“Like the Coney Island in which it’s set, the film recalls the past, the abrupt cuts and isolated closeups that open the film evoke ’40s film noir…The style perfectly suits the film, which depicts a beach resort frozen in its memories.” Variety
